Privacy Policy

Avalanche Bulk Images (“the app”, “we”) is a Shopify app that lets merchants upload product images in bulk and match them to products and variants. This policy describes what data the app collects when you install and use it, how that data is used, and how it is deleted. Data we collect

Everything the app stores is shop-level data, collected only to provide the service:

• Installation and login data provided by Shopify when you install or open the app: your shop’s myshopify.com domain, an API access token, and the name, email address, and locale of the staff account using the app.
• Billing and usage data: your subscription plan and a count of images uploaded per billing period, used to enforce plan limits.
• Upload job records: the status and progress of each bulk upload, including the uploaded filenames and the Shopify product and variant IDs they were matched to.
• Support requests (Pro plan): the subject and message you submit through the in-app support form, along with your shop domain and staff email address so we can reply.

Uploaded images

Image files you upload are stored temporarily while a bulk upload is being prepared and processed. Once an image has been delivered to Shopify (or the upload is cancelled or fails), the temporary copy is deleted; temporary files are removed automatically within 24 hours in any case. Your images live in your Shopify store, not with us.

Customer data

The app does not collect, store, or process any data about your customers. All persisted data is keyed to your shop, never to a customer. We implement Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks (customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction) and honor them automatically.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers needed to run the app:

• Shopify — the platform the app runs on; uploaded images are delivered to your store via Shopify’s APIs.
• Google Cloud Platform — hosting, database, temporary file storage, and background job processing.
• Resend — email delivery for support-request notifications only.

We do not sell your data, and the app contains no advertising or third-party tracking.

Data retention and deletion

Upload job records are short-lived: completed jobs are removed within about an hour and failed jobs within a day. When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends us a shop-redaction request about 48 hours later, and we delete your shop’s remaining data (sessions, subscription, and usage records) in response.

Your rights and contact

You can request access to, or deletion of, the data we hold about your shop at any time by emailing support@avalanche-apps.net. If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
